Biography

Remsen- Mae E. Ray, 74, of Main Street passed away at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare on January 7, 2010. She was born in Westwinfield, NY on April 27, 1935 a daughter of Emma and George Marriot. Mae grew up in W. Winfield and married Winfield Ray on January 19, 1957. She worked as a CNA at Acadia Psych Center, Florida and also worked construction at South Florida Community College.
Surviving are her husband Winfield, two daughters Tina Lieber, Albany; Laurie Rummer; Siblings, Wanda, Sara, Stanley, Grace, Nellie, Eddie and Helen; grandchildren Christina and Micha, Charleston, S. Carolina; Johnny and Kelly, Robert and Becky, all of Forestport; Jessica and will, Rome; Monica and J.P.; Many great grandchildren.
Services will be 11am Monday January 11, 2010 at the Ackley-Mills Funeral Home 9597 Main Street Remsen. Calling hours will be Monday from 9-11prior to the service. Interment will be in Unadilla Forks Cemetery, Unadilla, NY. The family extends a special thanks to Hospice, Remsen Fire Co., Prospect Ambulance, and St. Luke’s Hospital.
