Gladys will always have a special place in my heart. I have fond memories of playing at her house in my childhood years. One night I was staying overnight and started to get a little homesick. Gladys asked me what I would be doing if I was home. I told her we always had our chores to do. So - she stuck a broom in my hand and said "OK. Now you won't be homesick anymore." I heard her tell that story to people for months! (And btw, I didn't feel homesick anymore.)
I was especially grateful when she accepted the invitation to my first wedding (about 35 years ago). She and my mother joined me at our kitchen table at 4:00 am the day of my wedding. (The three of us probably went through a pot of coffee each.) As a young bride-to-be I felt very special that morning, as the rest of the world slept, while Gladys shared stories with me about her own wedding; about her own life.
May my godmother find peace with God. My deepest sympathies to all of you!

My grandma was the best. She taught me what family was. She was always there when I needed a hand on something. I would go and visit her every day after school or when I got home from a sport event to tell her how my game went. She was more than a grandmother to me, she was a friend. She loved her family everyweekend thats where I spent it was at her house.Im going to miss her spagetti on Saturdays and chicken on Sundays. And I'm going to miss her cpmpany.
I love you Grandma!

What can I say about my Grandmother. I worked with her at the Hulbert House. I stayed with her on the weekends when I would come home from school. She taught me what hard work and when evryone else was too afraid she taught me how to drive. I don't know that I would have my drives license without her. She was THE BEST and I will miss her every day that I am on this earth. My hope is tat I can 3e half ofte wman that she was. I LOVE YOU GRAM!

Remember ...
The lessons she taught you.
The laughter she created.
How she inspired you.
Why you admired her.
And most importantly ... remember how she loved you.
Celebrate your mother's life and love.

I never thought this day would come. The day that I would have to say goodbye to my beloved Gramma. Your house was always the first stop after the school bus dropped us off in the afternoon. Your house was the place to be on the weekends. We always wondered what Gramma was cooking. My children loved you more than you could know. I will miss chatting with you over tea. I will miss calling the house and hearing your voice answer the phone. My only wish was that my baby got to know you better. I will miss you everyday.
